Truck mounted tool boxes?
Need to know what your opinion is on which steel side mount tool box is the best at the most reasonable cost on the market today? Need to replace mine which has in been used continuously every day since I purchased it in 1988. I run a business and want to find the same quality of boxes that I have. I need to have it sturdy enough to be able to walk and stand on also since I have a ladder rack that I put on and off the truck frequently. Have seen aluminum around but nothing is strong or sturdy enough. Thank you for your responses.

5 Truck Upgrades Every Construction Worker Needs
The first rule of working construction: you do not talk about working construction. The second rule of working construction: you get the job done without whining. Jobsites are no place for people who can’t work their way through the task at hand. Unfortunately, even if you’re tough enough to handle whatever the foreman asks you to do, your truck might not be equally capable. Teaching your old 4×4 dog a few new tricks is easy when you deck it out with these five essential truck upgrades for construction workers.
1) Truck Toolboxes
Your tools are your livelihood, so treat them with the respect they deserve. Tossing them into a couple of buckets in your payload is no way to haul your gear. A proper truck toolbox is what you need. From wrenches and sockets to drills and your trusty Sawzall, a pickup toolbox has room to carry just about any tool in your arsenal. Every truck tool box is equipped with some kind of lock, so you can keep your valuables safe from sticky fingers.
2) Utility Racks
Big projects call for big building materials. Even if your full-size pickup has an 8′ long bed, it still won’t have enough room to haul 12′ sections of pipe and 20′ ladders. For that kind of room, you need a utility rack. By creating a sturdy canopy over your payload, truck racks give you a mounting platform that’s not encumbered by the dimensions of your truck’s box. They’re especially handy if your pickup has a camper shell.
